Garden & Hedge Trimming in Sarnia, ON

Hedges, shrubs, ornamental trees and garden borders trimmed and shaped, with the clippings cleaned up and taken away. Free quotes from the owners.

Sharp Lines, All Season

A hedge that's a month overdue looks shaggy. One that's a few years overdue starts crowding the walkway, blocking windows and going bare on the inside. Shrubs by the front door creep over the steps, and the neat border you planted a few summers ago has lost its shape.

We trim and shape hedges, shrubs, ornamental trees and garden borders so they look deliberate again. That means straight tops and faces on formal hedges, softer natural shapes where they suit the plant, and careful work close to beds and buildings. When we finish, we rake up the clippings and haul them off.

A trim is also a good moment to look at what is working. If a shrub has outgrown its spot, we can take it out, and if a bed needs a refresh we can plan a few new plantings to fill the gap.

Hedge & Garden Trimming Questions

When is the best time to trim hedges?

Late spring to early summer is a common time for the main trim, once the new growth has come in, with a lighter touch-up later in the season if needed. Mitch can suggest timing for your particular hedges and shrubs.

How often do hedges need trimming?

Most hedges look their best with one or two trims a year. Fast-growing hedges or very formal shapes may need more. We can set up a schedule or come out as needed.

Can you fix a really overgrown hedge?

Often, yes. Very overgrown hedges are usually brought back in stages so the plant isn't stressed, and some are better replaced. We'll give you an honest opinion when we see it.

Do you remove shrubs completely?

Yes. If a shrub is dead, overgrown or in the way, we can take it out and haul it off. If you want something new in its place, we can plan that too.

Is cleanup included?

Yes. Raking up the clippings and taking them away is part of every trimming job, and your beds, lawn and walkways are left clean.
