Like much of Lambton County, a lot of Corunna is built on heavy clay. Clay drains slowly, so low spots in a lawn hold water after rain and the surface ends up lumpy. How do you level a bumpy lawn?
We spread sand into the low spots and work it into the grass, building the surface up gradually so the lawn grows back through it. Deeper dips may need more than one pass, and Mitch will tell you what your lawn needs once he sees it.
Why do my eavestroughs keep overflowing?
Usually because leaves, seeds and grit have packed into the trough or the downspout. We flush the eavestroughs, clear the downspouts and check that water runs freely before we leave.
Can you remove old gravel before planting cedars?
Yes. On one Corunna job we cleared out the old gravel and prepped the ground so a row of cedars could go in. Good soil underneath gives new cedars a far better start.
